Couples Therapy & Marriage Counselling in Singapore
Invest In Your RelationshipsRelationships are hard work.
When two people come together in a relationship, they each bring along their own narratives and experiences about relationships from their own lives and their families. Every couple has disagreements, but a hallmark of healthy couples is that they address their differences constructively.
Differences need to be addressed through relational skills like communication and empathy; and critical skills in conflict management such as accepting influence, being open to compromise and navigating gridlock in perpetual issues, among other things.
To create long-lasting relationships or marriages that flourish, couples need to adopt the growth mindset – the belief that they can change, become better and commit to reaching their shared goals. During marriage counselling or couples therapy, our team of relationship therapists will help you and your partner navigate your relationship and build resilience to face the inevitable challenges of every relationship.

Frequently Asked Questions About Marriage Counselling in Singapore
Is marriage counselling and couple counselling the same?
While marriage counselling and couples therapy share similarities, they also have their differences. Marriage counselling provides couples, whether married or engaged, with the necessary tools to navigate potential challenges in their relationship, whereas couples therapy is designed for couples facing current issues and challenges in their relationship. Our skilled therapists use a personalised approach to help you address your unique concerns and work towards a stronger, healthier relationship.
Why should my partner and I go for couples counselling?
Couples counselling can help you and your partner to identify and work through issues that may be affecting your relationship. It provides a safe and supportive space where you can communicate openly and honestly without fear of judgement. It can also help you to develop the skills such as effective communication and conflict resolution, as well as the tools you need to build a stronger and healthier relationship and deepen your emotional connection with each other. It can also enhance intimacy and strengthen the bond between partners.
How do we know whether to go for couples counselling or marriage counselling?
If you’re currently facing challenges in your relationship, such as frequent arguments, breakdowns in communication or infidelity, our team of experienced therapists is here to support you. We offer both couples counselling and marriage counselling, depending on your specific needs. Couples counselling is generally focused on resolving issues that are already present in the relationship, while marriage counselling is designed to improve the relationship ahead of time. However, our compassionate therapists will work with you to determine which approach is best suited to your unique circumstances. Contact us today for more guidance and support.
Should I attend marriage counselling alone?
It is generally recommended that both partners attend marriage counselling together. However, if your partner is unwilling or unable to attend counselling, attending alone can still be beneficial. It can provide you with the tools and support you need to improve your own communication and relationship skills, which can, in turn, improve your relationship with your partner. At Promises Healthcare, we are committed to helping individuals and couples build stronger and healthier relationships. Learn about our relationship and marriage coaching and therapy services, or book an appointment with one of our marriage therapists.
What Are the Fees Like at Promises Healthcare?
