Kate Park received a Masters in Counselling with Honours from Monash University. She has also completed graduate work in the field of Educational Psychology and has a B.A from Bryn Mawr College in the U.S.A. Kate is certified to work in Addiction (ATOD) and Sex Addiction. She is also certified to work in Trauma Focus CBT with adolescents and children.

Kate had her first introduction to the field of addiction and recovery in the 1980's in the USA, Australia and New Zealand, working with adolescents in therapeutic communities. Subsequently, she worked with Laurie Hayden and developed programmes in Corporate Psychology for some of Australia's leading companies.

Kate moved to Asia 21 years ago and after starting a family has returned to work in the field of addiction. Currently based at Promises, Kate works with individual clients, spouses, family members and groups dealing with chemical dependency, co-dependency, sex addiction and co-morbid conditions. Kate runs Pathways, the Winslow Clinic's Intensive Outpatient program for alcohol and drug dependence.

As well as her work in the field of addiction, Kate's areas of interest include working with adolescents and youth, mood disorders, and the treatment of trauma and complex stress disorders. Kate has been a member of the Organizing Committee for APBAM, the Asia-Pacific Behavior and Addiction Medicine Conference since 2009 and enjoys the opportunity to exchange information with professionals from around the world.
